Nguồn gốc ra đời của bánh đa cua Hải Phòng
Bánh đa cua từ lâu đã trở thành món ăn biểu tượng của nền ẩm thực xứ Cảng, gắn liền với biết bao thế hệ của người dân nơi đây. Tuy nhiên, nguồn gốc ra đời của bánh đa cua Hải Phòng vẫn là chủ đề còn xa lạ đối với nhiều người. Vậy thực chất bánh đa cua có nguồn gốc ra đời như thế nào?
Truyền thuyết lưu truyền rằng trong làng Lạng Côn có 2 vị thành hoàng làng là Trần Quốc Thi và Chu Xích Công, là 2 người gắn liền cùng sự ra đời của bánh đa cua. Vào thế kỷ thứ 10, ông Chu Xích Công là người Hoa, đã đến làng Lạng Côn và mở trường học tại làng. Về sau ông được vua Lê Hoàn tín nhiệm và tiến cử vào triều đảm nhận chức quan.
Khi chiến tranh giữa 2 nước Đại Việt – Chiêm Thành xảy ra, ông được nhà vua cho theo cùng đi đánh giặc. Bởi cuộc chiến diễn ra trong một khoảng thời gian khá lâu nên ông đã sáng chế ra loại lương khô đặc biệt cùng nguyên liệu chính từ gạo, có tên gọi là bánh đa nhúng.
Loại bánh đa này chỉ cần nhúng vào nước sôi kèm chút muối là có thể ăn liền, bảo quản được lâu dài. Mãi khi chiến tranh kết thúc, ông đem bánh đa nhúng truyền lại cho dân làng. Vậy nên khi ông mất, người dân trong làng đã lập miếu thờ và tôn ông là thành hoàng.
Mãi cho tới thế kỷ 13, một vị quan nhà Trần tên Trần Quốc Thi tới làng và thực hiện nhiều cải cách mở mang nông nghiệp, xây dựng trường học,… Thêm nữa, bánh đa nhúng cũng được ông kế thừa và sáng tạo thêm để trở thành món bánh đa cua nổi tiếng như hiện nay. Sau khi ông mất, dân làng tôn kính và lập miếu thờ, trở thành 1 vị thành hoàng của làng.
Ngày nay, trải qua một thời gian dài, bánh đa nhúng được người dân xứ Cảng gọi là bánh đa cua đặc sản Hải Phòng. Bánh đa cua đã trở thành món ăn biểu tượng đầy tự hào của người Hải Phòng nói riêng và người Việt Nam nói chung.
